About the Foundation

The Wright Memorial Public Library Foundation (“Foundation”) was created in 1997. The Foundation was formed to operate exclusively for the purpose of advancing the goals, objectives, and priorities of the Wright Memorial Public Library (“Wright Library”), as established by the Board of Trustees of the library. The Foundation raises funds for Wright Library, holding, investing and expending those funds for the exclusive benefit of the library.

The Foundation Board consists of between five and nine Trustees who serve three year terms. Interested applicants are welcome to contact the Board President for an application.

Foundation Board meetings are held at 6:30PM on the second Wednesday of each month in the library’s Meeting Room and are open to the public.

Why support Wright Library?

Wright Library is funded largely by tax dollars from the State of Ohio and local property taxes. While the State continues to reduce its funding for the Library, expenses continue to grow. As a result, tax revenue is insufficient to support the Library beyond basic services. Your gift is important and appreciated.
